I'm level 26. Seems I should be able to hit something that is only 4 levels above me. We are encourage to hunt above our level, I thought.
Problem is, if I just want to run out and hunt for 15-20 minutes to fill my mind a trip to Chodaku takes up half of it getting there. Even if I find a tracker or mage, usually takes 5 or so minutes for them to free up to then take you.
Used to be I'd fill my mind foraging or hunting grags. Foraging doesn't do it now, unless I want to take an hour. So, I'm not sure how to fill my mind on Llanfair anymore. I love it on Chodaku, but there is no labs, and no supporting people like techs, medics, crats around regularly. |

I'm a technician and I'm almost always on Chodaku. Unless I'm repairing parts and making gadgets. If you need a medic you can always pop over to the hospital. While on Chodaku you can forage, fish, hunt, pop over to Jareya for more foraging/hunting, and dive for pearls. |

By the way, if experience gain is your main concern, one can gain foraging based experience more quickly in underwater environments, like pearl diving. _________________ "Wise men talk because they have something to say; fools, because they have to say something." -- Plato

Ok......still, not being able to hit something 4 levels above me seems a bit stringent. Maybe it's just my training is wrong to be able to hunt above myself right now. |

Sorry we got a little off track. I'm going to look into this, but I personally think that while it should not be impossible as a fight, I think it should be difficult. Unfortunately, all you need to do is take a few hits and not only your health, but your balance, is out of whack and from there you're trying to dig out of a hole against an enemy with superior skills. _________________ "Wise men talk because they have something to say; fools, because they have to say something." -- Plato

Okay, this is a little strange, in a good way. I waited til after promotion to give hunting one last shot, ever so arrogantly positive that there was NO way in hell that Nelle could ever hunt again even with another 5 in agility and well.. in a nutshell I reckon I was wrong.
Hunting is suddenly easier and more efficient than it was before. Nelle is a medic... are you sure you didn't break something? _________________ Stay true to yourself no matter the cost and you'll always know who you are. |

what if said enemy didnt have superior skills/stats?
Or only 2 levels ahead of a character?
Is level consideration taken into effect truely, on the npc when someone is underhunting?
I know there's the fumble factor but should a level 10 mob hit a level 20+
character with this level law put into play.
Just a few questions.
*sidenote* Epolon you might try koru hunters they're very close to town and only level 27. _________________ >You allow Stilldawn to undress you. |

Any enemy of any level has a chance to hit you. The chance scales in part based on its relative level and skills. However, your fumble rate is not based on what you're fighting. Simply put, your fumble rate for attack/defense is all about you. _________________ "Wise men talk because they have something to say; fools, because they have to say something." -- Plato

Just wondering where on the overall time line new critters are planned to be out there?

To use a dreaded word,... soon. The area they are in has unique aspects that require special handling. In addition, the current combat project and another unannounced project have been tying up considerable time too. _________________ "Wise men talk because they have something to say; fools, because they have to say something." -- Plato
