Question without Notice ---> Answer without Thought! Shocked

::blinks::

Umm, as the tendee with minor amputations, for arguments sake let's say an arm and a leg (gotta stop bying the best equipment about), can I pay more than the Empath asks for if it were to become an automated payment system?

Reason I ask is because depending on the severity of some of my injuries I tend to pay fairly large amounts as I think the empaths work justifies it. I also tend to over pay my empath friends as I know their earnings can be woeful at times.

You could always give them money in addition to the fee.

Hmmm, after reading your replies above, change my vote from Option 4 to Option 3.

Not having played an empath I wasn't aware how undervalued empaths/medics are. Embarassed

I as well have a nice level empath, though I"ve not been in DR in 6 months. I think the billing system is a nice idea. I hated it when I would heal someone and they never even offered payment. just up and took off. I would like it to be MY choice if I want payment or not ... I have had some that say "It's your job to heal me, if you don't you don't get exp." just because it's one job to do it doesn't mean you don't pay them for it.

My humble suggestion:

TREAT <patient name> FOR <amount>

Where <amount> can be as low as 0, but cannot exceed a number based on the Medic's proficiency.

Yeah! I like that idea, this way it still gives us the choice as to how much we want to charge if anything at all. It's good that medic's can also hunt but I know I"m not to much of a fighter, would rather help others. Very Happy

Just my observation from reading this thread.

If you manage to get your character up to a ridiculas level by alpha and then proceed to go up to every person injured and charge them based on the skill and level combination I think its very likely it could be abused, perhaps something in the equasion could reflect the actual medic profession getting a bonus on none medics who offer treatment.

i.e. just because your a level 50 tracker and have a tiny bit of medic ability, you can't go around making a killing for badly wrapping some poor beat up hunters arm.

And of course I'm asumming that RT will factor in for a persons skill ability, but perhaps a none medic can only offer treatment a limited number of times per month, year, day whatever so as to not take up a true medic's market completely.

Just my two cents

P.S. I vote for the skill and level combination Wink

Billing/Consent will be a Medic only ability due to the fact that most medical devices are Medic only.
