Can we please take the pointless bickering and pissing-contests to another thread so we can get actual feedback here?

So is this now a good time to mention that a single royal guard just took me from an empty exp pool to a completely full one?

I'm not erm.. complaining, mind you Wink but from empty to full on one of them? Did I miss something here?

I just hunted since the most recent changes, and it looks like I'm losing focus and stamina much faster, now. Am I losing more stamina now because the regen rates had been tweaked, or are hits taking more stamina? I'm sure that some of it is a consequence of things needing more hits to kill them, but I'm just curious if there are other factors now, as well.

Also, it says that vitality is an important but lesser factor for your stamina pool... is it still the most important factor, or are there other things involved that would influence it more?

It seems that, for me, vitality drains too fast and regenerates too slowly. Against Kucho, pummel is basically out of the question now (which is fine, and probably intentional), because it drains around 4 vit, and it takes 2 or 3 to kill a Kucho, so fatigue begins to affect me after only one Kucho. I tried other attacks, and it's still close... I'll be down to the low nineties by the time I kill one Kucho, so I have to wait for it to refill (it seems slower now... is it?) before I can hunt another one without worrying about dropping down to below 80ish. Plus, all that waiting makes my focus drain even more, so I have to pull out of hunting to let it drain even sooner than I did before (slower regen, it seems) and after killing fewer things.

I'm trying not to sound too complainy, this is just what I've noticed now.

So...is the new system going to take into consideration char level? Younger/New characters already get worn out easily.

I've accounted for this some with the changes to stamina pool. I may make further adjustments.

Also, I keep making reference to this but I haven't officially asked in a while..did I miss the announcement where tactics really is for multiple opponents now, or does it still mainly just do critical hits?

It's a factor in the ES. We didn't "announce" it, but it's been public all along this was the primary reason for the skill.

Finally, at 75 we hit the kuchos. What this pretty much means for me if that for the next 15 levels I'll be in nowbi fighters...or rather, in royal guards simply because nowbis are on Echak and I don't have an easy way to get there and back again. With this 'hunting on level' thing, having some more evil and neutral box dropping critters would be a relief.

No matter how many hunting areas we add, they are (and need to be) spread out. They're not all going to be conveniently located.

I really do like Echak...except there isn't a bank. And money -- as I've learned -- is heavy. And I don't really move hunting grounds every few levels. I was in the fen from 30-50, royal guards from 50-59. And sometimes my Tzon when there's a medic awake. ^.^ I die a whole lot there. It's just nice to have variety so I can say... "Hm, I wanna hunt these things" or "Well, these things have poison/magic/psionics/ranged weapons, but I think I'll take my chances."

Aside from a bank, having another taxi (PC funded?)...or just having the taxi stay in port for as long as the ones to Chodaku do would be an excellent travel booster.

Hmm...it takes me 2-3 to fill my meter and I think I'm still a tad lower then you, level wise.

Droids only hold 36 or 37 pounds. And my boxes go in there.

Expecting a bank near all hunting areas is pretty unrealistic too. And you don't need a bank, you need places to sell plus a bank apparently. I mean I don't mind if you limit your hunting area choices based on these factors, that's your choice, but we're not going to design the game around it by any means.

Thekko is about 100th, Champions around 80th. So if you are in the middle, boxies seem a bit scarce even with the 5 level grade. Am I missing a critter in between the two?

Some results from a recent encounter:

Focused intently, the Modan Kucho unleashes a heavy pummel at you. With little resistance, he lands a strong hit to your right hand as you fail to dodge the attack.
Stumbling awkwardly, the Modan Kucho unleashes a heavy pummel at you. Amazingly, he lands a weak hit to your left eye as you fail to dodge the attack.
In a display of raw power, the Modan Kucho unleashes a heavy pummel at you. Mercilessly, he lands a weak hit to your left leg as you fail to dodge the attack.

Striking swiftly, the Modan Kucho unleashes a heavy pummel at you. In short order, he lands a weak hit to your head as you fail to dodge the attack.

that was with three kucho engaged on me all at melee range. it looks like only two of them attacked; i think i had just floored the third with a doubleslash. whereas before the changes, just one pummelling me would have resulted in far more serious damage. thats why before the changes, id have snap-shot them down before they hit melee. and even if it got to melee, theyd be injured by then and i could slash away at them with my swords with relative impunity. those nice, gory killing moves like stabbing a kucho in the head had almost been a given. it was cute, but i had begun hunting just by rote because i had that guarantee of the power and accuracy of my attacks.

if it requires more effort on my part to kill something now, so, too, does it take that other thing more effort to damage me in any serious capacity. i would be more surprised if it suddenly became impossible for me to hunt alone at all, if every attack i tried put me at such a loss that it resulted in my death.

i might be one of the few who enjoy fighting more now than before the changes .. i dont kill as quickly, i dont have a guarantee that ill emerge unscathed. thats the point of the changes and a sign that theyre working. it benefits me to keep alert, use new tactics, and sometimes, even retreat to hold the other side off a while. but i can still move back in and finish it off. thats precisely why i love it.

So ah have an agent nearby? Or someone else who can pick those boxes?
Autae and i had a great system worked out, he spammed flame wave on beetles, i gave em a few popshots, and picked the boxes inbetween.
we made um 90k in like ah maybe an hour?

Mickey,

Where is it that Champions spawn all on thier own at a higher rate than one every once in awhile? I never knew about it or I would of been hunting out there. No one responded at all to my post asking for this last time except somone in IM's who also thought i was a good idea and didnt know of a specifc area for champion only spawning.

Champions spawn outside the village, in the forest surrounding (excluding the lookout path). You've got to physically move through a portal to get to that area, so there's no confusion/surprise accidentally running into any.
