i'd love if we could cut fabrics into smaller parts.

a sheet = 2 squares = 4 swatches?

And have pelts of various sizes. Eoshaeoaoaoai (I can't spell it on my own...so enjoy the vowels) can be a swatch...medium sized beasties like does can be squares... And so on.

i'd love that, too, but i'd also understand if it was a bitch to code and thus not possible right now.

You can, hence the weaving system.

Yep, you are correct there.

For now, you can just say that if you cut a sheet into swatches, it frays too badly in storage and becomes unusable. IC explination! Yay!

I think we're mostly unsure of why you wouldn't just make the swatches in the first place.

Only having sheets, not being on Echak, and needing a pouch? Just making a lot of sheets and cutting them down might be easier too. And save space.

I've got an uncanny hunch this has less to do with an Artisan being prepared (because I can't foresee why they'd carry an arsenal of sheets, yet not have any squares or swatches on hand?), and more to do with wanting to circumvent the timely process of just making a load of swatches and squares.

Seriously, guys, we're more than happy to help make life easier for you, but not the degree that we make weaving pointless.

actually, that's exactly why i wanted it. i sometimes forget if something needs a sheet or a square.

i'm not trying to mess with getting around the time it takes to make things. heck, i'd be fine if i could just cut it down to make one of the smaller size.

I have to agree that I have trouble with this as well. Would it be possible to impose a system where if we type tailor shirt without material or a sewing kit in hand it will tell us what material size is needed? or quantity of pelts and so on.

Pretty please.

would be nice if we could get other details as well such as where said item is worn and maybe the capacity range. A bit cheeky, I know.

After tossing around the idea of cutting fabric, I have decided on an option that will most likely make everyone happy. Eventually you will be able to cut down fabric, but not for the purpose of making smaller pieces of fabric to tailor with. Just what exactly you will be making when you do this, well you guys are going to have to wait and see. Wink
