when you put something with the same base name in the same area of the vault as something already with that name, it can go in even if the vault capaity is already at max.
ie: if you have 260 items, and you have a drawer full of rings, you can still put rings in that drawer. but, you can't put it somewhere without rings, nor can you put something not a ring in the drawer.

i went to see how much vault space i had left, and i saw -2.
