I finally saved up a few points to put into light armor and am wearing the "starter" set from protection, inc. However,

Armor doesn't show up in those resistances. |

Isn't the damage resistance from armor applied before natural resistances? Or is it the other way around?

I have no idea in which order the resistances are applied during combat, but I do know that what shows up in INFO are only your natural resistances, and whatever armor does for you is not displayed there. _________________ If there is one thing in the world that I know, love conquers all, it trancends time and space, defies all odds, and can bring you back from the darkness, it is the guiding light that helps bring you in from the rough stormy seas of life, and it remains even after you have gone.

Nah, its an understandable question. And thank you for being so very polite about it. _________________ If there is one thing in the world that I know, love conquers all, it trancends time and space, defies all odds, and can bring you back from the darkness, it is the guiding light that helps bring you in from the rough stormy seas of life, and it remains even after you have gone.

To provide a little more info...
The resistances listed in INFO are for full-body resistances like spells and such. Because armor rarely protects the entire body, its protection is not listed there. You can appraise specific armor pieces to get an idea of how well protected you are by that piece, however.
Note that even full body armors will not show in INFO. _________________ "Wise men talk because they have something to say; fools, because they have to say something." -- Plato

On the subject of armor, because I don't want to start a new thread... I know that natural resistances (and resistances + armor aura, etc.) are capped at 80%. With armor, can you go over that limit? Or if you have, for some reason, 80% blunt + full-body armor that provides 5% blunt resistance, will you still only have 80% blunt? |

I believe... and I'm working from memory here... that the way the combat system works is that in combat armor is applied completely differently that resists so that you get armor applied then resists.
So say you would be taking 50 points of damage to your arm and get that reduced by 40% for good armor there... so now you're down to 30 points. Then say you had 80% resist to that damage type, now you're down to 6 points of damage from your original 50 point hit. _________________ "Wise men talk because they have something to say; fools, because they have to say something." -- Plato
