think we can be able to see if this spell is active in an area?
it would also be cool if people skilled in psionic ability can give their group a smaller perception penalty. _________________ A bright-eyed Thekko Ku Kalla dressed in a dapper sailor suit takes to flight and careers through the air toward the Modan Kucho and slams into him!

Rooms will now show the following when Rising Mists is in effect:
Thick mist hangs in the air, obscuring your vision.
The other aspect about reduced penalties is something I'll have to consider more. _________________ "Wise men talk because they have something to say; fools, because they have to say something." -- Plato

thanks for the fast upgrade.
i, personally, just don't know what setting i'd ever use rising mists in right now, because not only does it help enemies, it hurts me as well. i guess i just see it as keeping everyone on equal ground still. sure, i get a bonus to defenses, but so do they. and i lose perception, but so do they.
i'm assuming this is a spell that is meant to function like the tactic ability, defend? _________________ A bright-eyed Thekko Ku Kalla dressed in a dapper sailor suit takes to flight and careers through the air toward the Modan Kucho and slams into him!

I'd guess that it would be used if you were trying to hide. If you're using a weapon that doesn't rely a whole lot on perception (unarmed or something), you could cast it and hide and attack, or something. I'm not sure. |

All of the above. It would certainly be less useful if you use weapons or attacks that rely on perception. It will increase in usefulness for everyone when the ES is in, however. _________________ "Wise men talk because they have something to say; fools, because they have to say something." -- Plato
