but can we sell them!

::flees in terror::

thanks for that, Mickey. Smile

will it ever be (eventually) possible to put those in the books? it would be amusing to see "Yaru's big book of tattoos" that people can flip through or something, catalog-style.

hah, and here i thought it was because there's no way to see how it really looks using the INK command.

hey, erm, do we ever complete drafting?

i got my brush, got my paper, and i've been "draft shooting star"ing for quite a few roundtimes already. i don't think it takes this long on a normal inking, heh.

edit: i'm a big dork. i get why the duration is what it is. this is more akin to scribing a tome. i thought it was more like just drawing out a demo of how something would look on a body. the duration is similar to scribing, heh

alright, got one done.

Making sure that the lines are concise and clean, you finish drafting your design!
Roundtime: 31 sec.

it shows as a scroll in the hand window of the wizard, but it still looks like paper in the game itself. it also has this happen:

You tap a sheet of sketch paper.
You stow your shooting star scroll in a battered shoulder-worn denim schoolbag.

i like that these can be studied, too. makes me wish i had a custom tattoo to trade with other artisans. Wink

I've been meaning to work on that, unless Valla does it first. I'll either have it show in the scroll's look, or diversify INK a little to do it.

Oops, fixed. I keep breaking her stuff.

I cleared the custom stuff with Valla before I did it, and custom designs can be drafted for other players to study. On the down side, the sale values of custom scrolls is pretty low (the value being based on the skill minimum of the design being drafted).

Having illustrations for books is awesome! Maybe eventually artisans can paint book covers too? Yaru, what sorts of stuff can you draw?

yaru has 0 in drawing because i think the only purpose of it right now would be to stencil something on pottery (which i never do).

the painting stuff i just get the auto-trained points for, because with the way most people in HR want things done to their bodies, yaru is terrified at the idea of painting on anyone.

i don't have enough skillpoints to go around, damnitall, heh.

edit: And Mickey, is it possible to see a percentage complete like when scribing spellsongs or alchemy/poison tomes?

I actually meant paint. I was wondering what the tattoos are.

Stenciling on pottery takes painting skill. I train painting, but not drawing and I get adjectives like 'superb' when I stencil.
Also, I love doing body art, though I haven't actually painted anyone other than myself as yet, being only able to do 'unremarkable' versions of the first six tats.
