I am pleased to announce that Counselor Valla will be the new Artisan Guru!

Valla (along with Mickey) is responsible for the creation of the armorcrafting system in addition to other works. She has a number of fun ideas for creation systems for the profession, and I believe she'll do a fantastic job for you.

I am very happy to be joining your team as the new Artisan guru, and look forward to meeting with all of you to share some of my ideas for your profession as well to hear yours.

I will be in and out for the next few days, but after that I plan on having a meeting to discuss these ideas.

My group, which pretty much consists of 98% of all artisans in Haelrahv, is having a meeting, 10pm eastern on Friday. I'm hoping you can attend as I, and others, have good ideas to increase the already numerous artisan systems.

Hey Valla after we talked I was hoping you would take up the role, congrats to your new position.

I would also like to take up this time to re-suggest the henna style tattoos, as I said before of course it wouldnt be exactly henna we would use something native to HR but I still think its an excellent idea for VERY skilled artisans

Yay, Valla!!!

Okay, so... someone who is going to the Artisan meeting, PLEAAAAASE bring up my dinky suggestion about having artisans being able to do multiple tiers of embroidery quality instead of being forced to stick to just one kind based on skill?

Like the lowly skilled Artisans can only do deformed or lopsided shapes (and whatever else low quality designs look like..)

But the highly skilled should be able to do low, medium and high quality as they prefer. (Because lopsided can be intentionally done for cuteness factor...)

And emphasize on the fact that Belethe likes having a good artisan make her undies and she wants one with a lopsided heart!!! (Because obviously, it's the most important thing in the world...)

I ask because Wednesday 8 p.m. Central is my Thursday 9 a.m. and I'll be in class trying not to fall asleep. *G*

Jade Venra says, "I was thinking also, that ashatae wool could be carded and spun into yarn."

Valla Storm says, "We can work on that, it is not totally out of the question."

You hear the voice of Tiena Rhyker say, "I had wanted the ability to embroider at higher levels the way that you can carve into a wood item."

Seth Ventril says, "Belethe has a good idea for embroidery..."

You hear the voice of Tao Shadowstalker say, "Valla how about being able to embroider at a certain level. say like i wanted to embroider something at a beginner's level even tho my tailoring is high."

Jade Venra says, "The deal with being able to make light armour is working well. ive been wondering for some time now, whether an additional system of crafting heavy armour might be made. this would especially benefit troopers and mercs, but it falls under something artistic. perhaps it could rely on several skills already extant, or have an additonal 'metallurgy' skill thrown in. the blacksmith in the forge could teach that."

Seth Ventril says, "I was suggesting that tao..."

Zamde Morgav-D'Eloe says, "I don't see the point in throwing the baby out with the bathwater over descriptions, in light of the unprecedented amount of self-oriented detail in most of HR's systems anyway."

Valla Storm says, "Heavy Armor would involve metals."

Jade Venra says, "Naturally."

Valla Storm says, "And to be honest, I am not touching that one."

Jade Venra says, "They wouldnt be. they would be things like greaves, boots etc."

Valla Storm says, "Though I believe there are other GM's that will be working on that, though don't hold me to that."

Seth Ventril says, "We can make greaves..."

Jade Venra says, "Not heavy ones."

Yaru Dex turns to Seth Ventril and says, "Light armor, not heavy armor."

Yaru Dex turns to Tiena Rhyker and says, "I think it'd work better the way tomes are scribed and armor is crafted. No tag, just a read. Takes up less space that way."

You hear the voice of Tiena Rhyker say, "Perhaps we could sculpt things to attach to what we tailor."

Valla Storm says, "Yes, but there is a twist."

Seth Ventril says, "And don't make only certain colors available in forbidden to all races but one material."

Seth Ventril asks, "Please?"

Mickey Brunner says, "So my best advice would be to not fret over what can be touched/tweaked/toggled/groped, and what can't... the woodcrafting is Hunter's stuff, but pending Artisan systems (and the mainstay of the pre-existing ones) are still Valla's domain."
