I dont know whats wrong but for some reason the Modan Kucho's difficulty seems to fluctuate greatly. I had been there all last night, killing them without any problems, I went out of the area today for a bit then came back to find they were ALOT stronger. I couldnt hit them at all and they were hitting me occasionally.
It just doesnt make sense that I sat in there for hours and had no problems at all, then suddenly Im having major problems with them.

Another thing I noticed was the ability to climb into the area with only 40 climbing. . .and NOW when I went back. . I cant do that anymore. I need levitate.

Could this be a matter of encumbrance, or day/night? Creature skills nor difficulties to climb objects do not tend to change at all and have not been changed recently. The only varying factor that occurs without player action per se is the random roll and you'd have to be entirely unlucky to get horrible rolls over and over again.

I was actually more burdened when I was killing them easier, and Im not sure if it was day or night cause I rarely pay attention to that, though Ill start doing that.
I went to town to unload loot and when I went back they were alot more difficult and I also couldnt climb up the pass without levitate, though before I was having no trouble climbing with 40 ranks.

That truly has to either be your imagination, or some other factor like day/night. Encumbrance never works in your favor.

Ok, if it was night and I have a light source, would that give me an edge over the Modan Kucho? It being night(dark?) reduces its skills somewhat?
