I was sitting in my normal foresty hidey hole, carving away at a nice sized branch when I espied something dinghy white off under some detritus. After further investigation I realized it was a bone that had become eroded over time, but it was shaped quite like a small aiba. Suddenly the thought struck me, I don't know why, but it did... I thought it would be interesting to be able to carve the bones of victims if properly prepared. It wouldn't be something spectacularly popular for the city folk, but I know for me it would definately save a trip to town for buttons and clasps, and be something more durable then some of the wood I've seen.
Said bone could be found in boxes (less durable), or added to current creatures that only offer skins as treaure. The bones can then be prepared to make them strong and durable. An example would be to BOIL BONE to remove impurities and marrow...BLEACH bone to strengthen and, well, bleach it. Then FILE, POLISH, etc. to smooth the surface, and then it can be shaped and drawn upon for the pattern it will take on.
Like I said, just a thought from the simple mind of a young woodsman. _________________ Mak'Noch,

Very nice idea. Unless one of my cohorts gets a sudden urge to do it, it'll probably not happen in test tho. _________________ "Wise men talk because they have something to say; fools, because they have to say something." -- Plato
