Any chance we can get a little more info on what was actually fixed? Was this a bug that has been there the entire time, or was it somehow related to the recent change in the random attack roll?

I'm a little confused as well. As I read it, it'll be harder to hit critters, but also harder for them to hit you.

Essentially at some point (I don't recall when but it was fairly recent) we increased the role skill plays in attacks. We inadvertently did not do this with defense, however. As a result, it was much easier to hit something than to dodge it. This put both players and creatures at additional risk.

I think perhap it got tweaked a bit too much. . . . . .I parried someones attacks and they were considerably higher in level than I am. . .not to mention skill and statwise as well. They were hardly burdened as well.

If you'd like to give me their character name (and yours if not Tshar) I'd like to look at their skills/stats and stuff versus yours, and some other things. Also what kind of weapon they were using.

I kinda noticed that a while ago... if you were fighting someone about your level, you could both usually hit each other every time. So does this change mean that now you'll both usually defend against each other's attacks?

It means that more or less you have a 50/50 chance of striking an equally powerful opponent. It comes down to random rolls.

ok thats probably why for a while I could kill the stupid warriors with not much problem but if they happened to get in a hit on me then I was the one most likely to die, Now I can't hit them at all and they definately can still hit me *giggle*

Yeah, Warriors could definitely be a bit difficult for someone of your level, but probably not for too long. A good agility potion and minimal armor would help.

I'm happy with the changes, I can now hunt warriors and berserkers without a problem, when before I could hit them easy enough, but if they hit me, *poof* I was dead.
